Arsenal coach reacts to rumour linking him to Barcelona

Recall that in the past few days, Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta had been linked with moves to Spanish giant, Barcelona who are currently going through a tough phase even with the presence of top football player, Lionel Messi at Camp Nou.

However, the Gunners coach in a recent statement has distance himself from the reports linking him to the Catalans as he dismissed the reports.

According to Arteta in a statement, he stressed that he remains happy with his job at the North London club and is not considering leaving the club.

Recall that Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta was said to be eyeing Arteta as a possible replacement for Ronald Koeman.

However, Arteta in a statement told reporters on Wednesday: “There is always going to be speculation when there are elections in Barcelona, it’s a huge team.

“he stated that he was raised there as a player and there are always going to be linked but he stated that he’s fully focused on the job at Arsenal and he is enjoying it.

The Spaniard stressed that he feels privileged to manage a football club like Arsenal and he is extremely happy with that.
