Arsenal are set to part ways with their defender Jakub Kiwior temporarily this summer after they agreed a loan plus obligation to buy from Portuguese club Porto.

So far this summer, the Gunners have signed seven player, with Eberechi Eze being their latest signing.

However, the Gunners are in the race to sign another centre-back before the deadline, with reports linking them with moves for Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapie.

According to the reports talks are underway with the German club for the Ecuadorian.

Once the deal for Kiwior is done, there will be space for the Gunners to sign Hincapie.

According to the Sun journalist Jordan Davies, Kiwior has already ‘agreed personal terms’ with Porto.

It was reported that the North London club have likewise accepted a loan offer with an obligation to buy for around £22.5 million.

The deal is expected to go through if Arsenal can secure Hincapie’s signing before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Meanwhile, Hincapie has also reached personal agreement with the Gunners too, but the club’s hierarchy still need to reach a transfer agreement with Bayer Leverkusen.

We will have to wait to see how this will play out before the window closes in a matter of days.
