Former Chelsea manager reveals why he was happy after his Blues side lost an FA Cup tie

The joy of every football manager is to see his team win matches, however former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed how he was excited upon losing an FA cup tie during his time with the Blues.

FA cup is the oldest football competition in world football and it’s known for the upset and joy it brings to team participating in it but it’s prestige and importance has diminished over the years.

However, this has not stopped Jose Mourinho from admitting the love and joy associated with the competition.

Speaking ahead of his side match in the third round of the competition, Mourinho reminisced on how his Chelsea and Manchester United side lost in the competition.

Mourinho noted how excited he was when his side have everything in an FA cup clash but ended up being beaten at home despite winning the league that season.

The Portuguese insisted that the joy that comes with being a champion made them forget that they lost an FA Cup tie a home to Bradford as he was even happy he had managed the team that day.

According to Jose Mourinho, at the end of the game he was feeling happy, instead of crying in his office over the loss, he was enjoying with the players in the dressing room.

He added that the FA Cup is especially absolutely beautiful and even knowing that he would like to rest all his guys he can not do it.

Mourinho’s Tottenham side will travel to Crosby to face eightH-tier Marine in their third round of FA cup clash.
