Italian Seria A Giant, Inter Milan are in a hot chase to sign Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window which is one month away.

The Italian side are said to be proposing a loan deal for six months with an option to buy which could see the French striker leave Stamford Bridge for Italy.

According to Tuttosport, former Chelsea coach turn Inter Milan coach, Antonio Conte is hoping to bring Giround to San Siro as a back-up option for Romelu Lukaku. Aside from Giroud, Inter also have their eyes on Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik.

Conte, who signed Giroud from Arsenal to Stamford Bridge in 2018 before he was sacked at the end of the season is well aware of Giroud’s capabilities and it is part of the reasons he is working for a reunion at Inter Milan.

Chelsea would be willing to let go of the French striker, who has struggled to find a place in Lampard’s starting XI, with Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham having more playing chances ahead of him in the strikers’ pecking order.

This Chelsea forward could be on his way to Inter Miami in January

Inter Milan will however be faced with challenges from fellow Italian club, AC Milan and American club, Inter Miami, who are also in the race to sign Giroud in January.
