Transfer News: Manchester United launch shocking offer to sign Chelsea defensive midfielder

Any move would depend on N’Golo Kanté taking a wage cut

Manchester United In talks N’Golo Kanté’s representatives to enquire about a potential move to Old Trafford, as indicated by report.

The 29-year-old has been connected with a move away from Chelsea the entire summer, with Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan also interested to sign the talented midfielder.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to be a long term admirer of the ball champ, since, well, who isn’t? N’Golo Kanté is the best in the world at what he does.

It’s not hard to perceive any reason why Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would need N’Golo Kanté to reinforce his midfield – the Frenchman would be an easy route to some type of defensive strength which has been urgently ailing in Manchester United’s initial two rounds of the Premier League season.

Much has been made of Manchester United’s back four playing ineffectively as of late, particularly in their 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.

However, acquiring an a-list defensive midfielder to secure them could be a higher priority than getting another central defender, and defensive mids don’t come far superior to N’Golo Kanté.

Consider that N’Golo Kanté also won a World Cup playing in a double turn alongside Paul Pogba, and it’s an easy decision for Manchester United.

Notwithstanding, the Mirror report that the Frenchman is hesitant to leave Chelsea if that it implies accepting a pay cut.
