The 21-year-old is one of the most looked for after young talents in the game subsequent to scoring and helping a consolidated 64 Bundesliga goals at very young age.
The Blues are viewed as the staggering top favourites to sign the talented attacker and are accepted to have tabled an initial bid of £54m.
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Kai Havertz has made a move at his own end by telling Bayer Leverkusen of his desire to move to Stamford Bridge.
However, Bayer Leverkusen are supposed to be resolved to keep hold of their valued asset until after their Europa League campaign, which resumes against Rangers on Thursday.
Talking just before that match, Peter Bosz demanded that Kai Havertz is completely focused on Bayer Leverkusen.
