Chelsea near signing Leicester City star after transfer fee knoockdown
Chelsea are close to signing Ben Chilwell subsequent to gaining ground in talks over the deal.
Ben Chilwell has developed as Chelsea’s top target for the left-back position. Questions lingers over the fates of Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri, so Frank Lampard is searching for another best option.
Ben Chilwell is on top of the list, who is England’s main left-back. He played many games for Leicester this season, before missing the end of the season with injury.
The Foxe’s valuation of the 23-year-old has demonstrated problematic for Chelsea’s expectations of signing him. Leicester City are requesting around £75m Ben Chilwell.
However, report claims Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal with Leicester City.
They express that after broad talks between the two clubs, Leicester City are currently ready to acknowledge a reduced £50m package for Ben Chilwell.
The progression of talks seems to have come around after the player made it clear he needed to move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will be playing in the Champions League next season and Ben Chilwell feels his game can improve further by making the move to West London.
There remains some talking still to do before a deal can be authoritatively endorsed for Ben Chilwell. However, it appears to be a matter of when not if Chelsea will sign their man.
Chelsea have been occupied this summer and have just burned through £80m to sign Hakim Ziyech and*Timo Werner. However, their spending gives no indication of slowing down either.
