Inter goalie speaks on joining Chelsea
Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana has expressed doubt about his future at the Italian club following their 1-0 UEFA Champions League final defeat to Manchester City on Saturday night.
A highlight from the match showed Onana was unable to prevent Rodri’s second-half winner, which crowned Man City champions of Europe for the first time in their history.
Following his performance at the final, the Cameroonian has been heavily linked with a move away from Inter.
With Chelsea set to sell one of Arrizabalaga Kepa and Edouard Mendy this summer, the Blues are keen on welcoming a new goalie.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino also wants a new goalkeeper at the club as none of Kepa and Mendy are in his plans.
Onana could be Chelsea’s next goalkeeper if Inter let him leave this summer.
Asked about his future amid a link to Chelsea, Onana told reporters: “I don’t know. The truth is that I’m happy here, but then at a certain level, you never know how it will go.
“I have no problems with Inter. I have an excellent relationship with them, and I’m at their disposal. I will do what they tell me.”
