Saudi club Al-Nassr, which have been linked with a move for Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo have finally cleared the air.

Al-Nassr claimed they have not held talks about signing Ronaldo despite numerous stating otherwise.

Ronaldo is currently not signed to a club as his contract with Manchester United was terminated last month following an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

The Portugal star is now a free agent and has been linked with a move to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

However, when asked about a move for the Portugal captain, Al-Nassr President, Musalli Al-Muammar jokingly replied: “Who is Ronaldo? I don’t know him.”

In a subsequent interview with SSC Sports, he added: “Ronaldo is busy with the World Cup.

“I don’t think that he is in negotiations with anyone.”

Following Portugal’s defeat in the World Cup, Ronaldo has since returned to Spain where he is currently training in Real Madrid facilities to keep fit before he joins a new team.
