Tuchel opens talks with Sterling

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has opened talks with Raheem Sterling as the west London side hope to sign him to their squad this summer.

The Blues have been actively involved in the race to sign numerous players this summer but have been unable to seal a deal for any.

However, the latest report has revealed they have stepped up their talks to sign Manchester City star Raheem Sterling this summer.

Sterling has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for weeks now alongside other clubs.

However, it appears the Blues are now leading the race as Tuchel hold talks with Sterling, who has one year remaining on his current deal at Man Utd and has visibly grown frustrated with his limited game time under Pepe Guardiola.

Sterling is said to be considering his departure from Etihad and needs assurances over his playing time and role at his next club.

According to Nathan Gissing, a journalist who works for transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio (h/t football.london), Thomas Tuchel has opened a dialogue with Sterling.

This may be part of an effort to convince Sterling to pitch his tent with the Blues, which may happen in the coming days.
