Kante, Rice, others told to join Man Utd

Former Manchester United defender John O’Shea in a statement has advised Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante and West Ham star Declan Rice to join the Red Devils

He urged Phillips to consider a move to Old Trafford instead of joining rivals, Manchester City.

Phillips has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, as especially as Fernandinho is close to leaving the club.

Man Utd are in need of midfielders, after Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Jesse Lingard left the club this summer.

The Red Devils have been in discussions with Barcelona about a potential £70m for Netherlands star Frenkie De Jong.

But O’Shea, a former Uniter star, believes that Phillips should be targeted too.

“Despite links to Man City, Kalvin Phillips should think about the other side of Manchester!”, O’Shea told Paddy Power, according to Metro.

“There’s also Declan Rice or even N’Golo Kanté,” O’Shea added.

“If United could get one of those three in, it’d be a big boost for everyone in the club.”
