Chelsea are yet to sign a new player this summer window and are in a race to do so.

The latest report has claimed Chelsea are ready to battle it out with Arsenal in their bid to sign Leeds United winger Raphinha this summer.

Chelsea will also contend against Tottenham Hotspurs who are also interested in the winger.

Arsenal are said to have commenced talks with Leeds to sign the Brazilian star, who was their key man last season, scoring 11 goals in the Premier League.

The Brazil international is ready to leave Elland Road this summer but prefers a move to the Spanish side Barcelona as a preferred destination despite interests from Arsenal and Tottenham.

However, Barcelona are not willing to make a move because of their financial issues.

Arsenal are said to have submitted an offer for Raphinha, which was rejected by Leeds as it did not get near their £50m asking price.

Mail Online now reports that Thomas Tuchel’s Blues have joined the race to sign the Brazilian winger and are ‘serious’ about submitting an offer to Leeds.

Antonio Conte’s led Hotspurs have also approached Leeds United for Raphinha.
