Chelsea alerted as opportunity to sign Porto defender emerges

Chelsea will have to pay €30m for Alex Telles from Porto if they want to sign him this summer, as indicated by reports.

The Blues keep on being connected with various left-backs in the midst of the progressing vulnerability around the fates of the present players of that position, Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso.

Emerson has been connected with a return to Serie A, where he could rejoin with Maurizio Sarri at Juventus – in spite of the fact that the Italy International says he is happy working under Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge.

Alonso is viewed as a target for ex-Blues manager, Antonio Conte.

Alex Telles could be replacing Alonso and Emerson, who at 27 years of age is in the prime of his career and could be prepared for the subsequent stage after four seasons at Porto.

Telles recently changed agents, collaborating with Pini Zahavi, who has close connections with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and could thusly help encourage a transfer.

It had been believed that Chelsea would need to stump up Telles’ €40m release clause so as to prise him away from Porto, however Le10 Sport currently recommend that the Brazilian is accessible for just €30m.

Chelsea face stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain for Telles – who has one cap for Brazil at senior level, having made his international debut in 2019 – but the two clubs have now been reached by Porto to be told regarding the value they should pay for him.

Telles would be a less expensive option in contrast to another of Chelsea’s main targets for the position, Ben Chilwell. The England International is allegedly enthused about leaving Leicester for Stamford Bridge, but the Foxes are waiting for a high transfer sum that could even be a world record for a full-back.
