As Liverpool continue their preparation for next season, the club’s priority in the summer transfer window has been revealed.

Liverpool failed to win silverware last season as the reds had to settle for a third place in the Premier League and loosing out in other cup competition.

Jurgen Klopp’s side struggled for some part of the season after they lost their most trusted centre-back Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez to long-term injury.

Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Liverpool FC’s priority in the summer transfer window is bringing in a new attacker, followed by a midfielder.

Liverpool only signing this summer is Ibrahima Kanoute who joined from RB Leipzig for a fee of £36m.

The reds are still on the lookout for a midfielder after they lost Wijnaldum to Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

Romano while speaking on his Here We Go podcast stated that Liverpool are eager to replace Wijnaldum before the transfer close.
