Premier League side Liverpool might be losing one of their best youngsters in Harry Wilson, linked with a move to Portuguese team, Benfica.

Liverpool, in the past few seasons, has been consistent in bringing out young talents from its academy, but not all have been able to make an impact with the first team.

Wilson is now set to join the long list of Liverpool youngster that will leave the club in search of first-team football.

The Wales international has spent time on loan at Derby, Hull, Bournemouth and most recently Cardiff City, where he played 38 matches.

Despite his excellent form with Cardiff, chances that he will make Liverpool first team are slim, with the reds already linked with Aston Villa’s John McGinn.

Reports claim Benfica are looking to bring Harry Wilson to Portugal, and Liverpool are also willing to work out a deal with them.

However, Benfica will be facing competition from West Brom and Brentford.

According to Goal, the two English clubs are ready to battle it out for the signature of Wilson, who will be available for £12m.

Wilson scored seven goals and registered 12 assists in his stint with Cardiff City last season, a performance that got him on the list of players representing Wales at Euro 2020.
