Barcelona, Real Madrid can’t afford Erling Braut Haaland wage demands

Barcelona and Real Madrid have allegedly been priced out of a move for Erling Braut Haaland as a result of the Borussia Dortmund striker’s wage demands.

The La Liga giants both held talks with the 22-year-old’s representative Mino Raiola and father Alf-Inge recently over a summer move.

However, Goal asserts that Erling Haaland’s €35m yearly (£30m) pay could compel Barcelona and Real Madrid to search somewhere else for another striker.

A similar report proposes that an anonymous English club recently walked away from early negotiations when it became clear how much the Norway international hopes to earn.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have each been connected with the ex-RB Leipzig frontman recently.

Haaland has 35 goals to his name this season, however he is on a seven-game drought without one for club or country since scoring twice against FC Koln on March 20.
