Why Elanga exited Man Utd this summer

Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga in a recent statement has opened up on why he left Old Trafford this summer.

Elanga, who exited the club on Tuesday said that it was the right time to leave the club.

The now former Man Utd winger has completed a permanent transfer to Nottingham Forest, who confirmed his transfer in a statement via their official website on Tuesday.

The report revealed the 21-year-old winger penned a five-year contract after Man United and Nottingham agreed to a £15million deal.

Elanga in a message via his Instagram page penned an emotional goodbye to Man United fans.

He also revealed that he exited Old Trafford in order to get more time to play the game he loves so much.

After recounting all that he has been able to achieve at the club, Elanga added, “It is the right time now for the perfect next step in my career.

“I’m someone who lives for football and I need to be on the pitch every week doing what I love.”
