Italian Seria A giants AC Milan are eager to sign out-of-favour Manchester United defender Diego Dalot on a permanent deal.

Diego Dalot was one of the best young defenders in Europe when Manchester United beat off competition from some teams to secure his signing.

However, he has not been able to secure a starting spot in the team and was forced to move to San Siro on loan last October.

He has been able to show his class in Seria A as he’s currently a regular for the Italian giants during the 2020-21 campaign scoring one goal and two assists in 17 appearances.

His performance has now convinced top hierarchy in AC Milan to secure the signing on a permanent signing.

According to The Sun, the Seria A table-toppers are keen to bring the Portuguese to the club permanently this summer.

With Manchester United currently having all the luxuries to bring top players to their club, the report claimed that the Serie A outfit would be prepared to pay £15m plus add-ons.

It’s also reported that contact has already been made with the 20-time English champions to discuss the possibility of a switch.

AC Milan are currently in one of their best forms in the past few seasons and they are not ready to slow down the pace with the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan eyeing their spot.
