Sack imminent? Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim under pressure

Manchester United have continued their poor performance under manager Ruben Amorim following their embarrassing defeat to League 2 side Grimsby in the EFL on Wednesday night.
The recent defeat has mounted pressure on Amorim with some of the Red Devils fans calling for his sack.
A recent report also claimed that Man Utd are now considering a ‘reliable replacement’ before sacking Amorim after a poor start this season.
Recall that the Red Devils finished at the 15th spot on the Premier League table last season and suffered a defeat in the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur.
This summer transfer window, the club’s hierarchy supported Amorim by spending around £200m to bolster their attack.
Man Utd signed Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo this summer for big fees but so far there have been little to show for it as it appears they could continue their poor form from last season.
Spanish website Fichajes claimed that Amorim sacking is now ‘imminent’ after the Red Devils’ s performance against Grimsby result
The report alleged that his ‘departure is considered virtually certain’.
It further reported that ‘the board is first looking for a reliable replacement before making the decision’ with Julen Lopetegui and Zinedine Zidane mooted as options.
