A report via the UK Mirror has revealed that Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is set to lose at least £5 million in add-ons from his current contract at Old Trafford.

Recall that Ronaldo accepted a pay cut to re-join Man United from Juventus last summer.

During his time at Turin, Italy, the Portuguese International was receiving £800,000-a-week as salary but went on to accept £450,000-a-week and a two-year deal with Man United.

His contract with the Red Devils, however, contained a number of significant add-ons so that Ronaldo could make up the difference.

The report revealed that many of the add-ons were attributed to Man United enjoying a successful 2021/2022 season.

But they have had a poor season already and will end this campaign without any silverware.

Aside from this, they are seated outside the top four currently, which means they could miss out on Champions League football for next season.

The only add-on Ronaldo still stand a chance of winning is being United’s highest goal scorer, with 18 goals already to his name this season.
