Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is reportedly willing to stay at the club this summer despite reports linking him with a summer move.

Van de Beek joined Manchester United from Ajax last season, but the Holland international has failed to work his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first team.

He struggled to make his mark for the team, playing on 36 appearances for the Red Devils during the 2020-21 campaign, coming off the bench most times.

Van De Beek scored just a goal in his debut season for United, and they are reports that he’s seeking a move out of the club.

Reports in the past few days state that clubs in Italy, Spain and Germany are ready to sign him, but according to the Manchester Evening News, Van de Beek will turn down interest from elsewhere to fight for his spot at Man United next term.

According to the report, the midfielder feels ‘fit, fresh and ready for the challenge’ having been ruled out of this summer’s European Championship due to a groin problem.

Van De Beek still has four years left on the five years contract he signed with Manchester United when he joined last summer.
