Manchester United have been hit with a major injury blow ahead of the game against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Monday.

This comes as the Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag in a pre-match statement revealed midfielder and Portugal international Bruno Fernandes is likely to be unavailable when they play Crystal Palace.

Man Utd will be looking to bounce back with a win after they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Burnley last weekend.

The result of the match crashed their hopes of playing Champions League football next season.

As of now the Red Devils are six points behind fifth-placed Tottenham in the race to qualify for the Europa League.

Despite Man United woes this season, Fernandes has scored 10 goals and created seven assists in the league.

But he is likely to miss just his second game of the season on Monday, with the 29-year-old midfielder having sustained a minor injury against Burnley which could rule him out of the trip to Selhurst Park.

Ten Hag revealed that Fernandes would do everything possible to be available for the match and have chosen not to rule him out completely yet.

Hopefully the Portuguese has a few days to recover before the match.
