Man Utd Vs Bayern Munich: Zidane picks favourite destination

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has reportedly picked Manchester United ahead of German side Bayern Munich as his favourite destination.

A report via Marca revealed that Zidane is biding his time over making a decision on the next club to coach.

The 51-year-old was recently named as the frontrunner to replace former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel at Bayern.

Since leaving the Los Blancos in 2021, Zidane, who has not managed any team, remains one of the most wanted managers in Europe.

This is owing to his impressive record during his time at the Bernabeu, the Frenchman bagged three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles during his first stint.

In the past, there were speculations about Zidane coaching club outside of France, Spain or Italy leagues as he does not speak English or German.

However, reports from Spain on Friday alleged that the former Real Madrid boss was “one step away” from agreeing a deal to join Bayern Munich this summer, with the club hierarchy in agreement that he is the best remaining candidate.

Following Tuchel’s recent victory against Arsenal in the UCL, Bayern may have to stick with him for another season should Zidane move to Old Trafford.
