Man Utd told to sell English left-back

Ahead of the next transfer window, Man Utd have been advised to part ways with one of the defenders.

Football pundit Mark Lawrenson in a statement argued that it was time for the Red Devils to cash in on Luke Shaw.

Recall that the English left-back has struggled with injuries in recent seasons, playing just 15 games since the start of last season, with his short international return at Euro 2024 followed by a fresh setback.

Speaking on Sports Casting, Lawrenson said he thinks the Red Devils will be looking for a replacement for Shaw given he’s suffered yet another injury,

Lawrenson added that while the defender made the Euros in the end, he, however, added that players who are very rarely fit, are unreliable.

The pundit also felt for Shaw, stressing that he didn’t mean to get injured but thay just the way the game is.

According to Lawrenson, Man Utd would likely assess the situation at the start of next year and see what they can and can’t do with him as he tipped Red Devils to cash in on him.
