The EPL returns this week, with Man Utd heading to Anfield to play Liverpool on Tuesday in one of the toughest matches.

Man Utd will head to the match following their recent win over Norwich City, which is expected to boost their confidence against a much tougher Liverpool.

Ahead of the match, Man Utd manager Ralf Rangnick has named five players that will miss the match.

Rangnick revealed this in his press conference on Monday.

The likes of Edinson Cavani, Scott McTominay, Luke Shaw and Raphael Varane all missed Man United’s previous two fixtures; last week’s 1-0 defeat at Everton and the 3-2 victory over Norwich City on Saturday.

Rangnick has now confirmed all five remain unavailable and will miss the trip to Anfield.

He said: “Rapha [Varane] didn’t train with the team. He was on the pitch with one of our rehab coaches.

“But with regard to injured players, we have the same situation that we had in the last two games.”

Liverpool, on the other hand, head to the match after a recent win over EPL toppers Man City in the FA Cup.
