Liverpool were supposed to be hosted at Old Trafford on Sunday in a Premier League match vs. Man Utd, however, the match couldn’t hold and was postponed after some Man Utd fans stormed the pitch before the match started protesting for the removal of the Glazer family who are the owners of the club.

While there are growing speculations that the Football Association could deduct three points from Man Utd over the misconduct, Liverpool have revealed they wouldn’t make any move to see this happen.

According to the Mirror UK, the Reds wouldn’t pursue points reduction because the match was cancelled for safety reasons.

The decision to call off the match was taken one hour after the scheduled time.

According to the rules, the FA can declare the fixture will not be rescheduled and award the three points to Liverpool if they decide it was “abandoned due to the conduct of one Club or its supporters”.

The Reds have revealed plans to work with Man Utd for a new date for the match to take place.

However, this would be hard on Man Utd as they have a midweek game in the Uefa Europa League and they also have the next two mid-week slots taken up with Premier League games against Leicester City and Fulham.
