Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has urged Jurgen Klopp to give new signing Ozan Kabak his debut to avoid a further setback.

Jurgen Klopp and his team have slipped to fourth on the league table as another horrific defensive show saw them lose to table-toppers Manchester City in their home ground.

Klopp surprised many Liverpool fans when he opted to use Jordan Henderson and Fabinho in centre-back despite completing the signing of Ozan Kabak before the match.

Lawrenson while speaking on Off The Ball has now condemned the move as he urges Klopp to give his signing a chance.

He stated that the thing with Liverpool’s defeat is that it is a good thing in many ways as now they can just forget about ambitions of winning the league and start playing again.

Lawrenson insisted that the other day somebody said that they had to cover for Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez etc, but now this time he’s got to pick his best midfield.

According to him, Klopp has to give Ozan Kavak who they signed from Schalke a chance.

Lawrenson who noted that he does not know what the record is in the last ten stressed that it is really poor as he urged Klopp to go back to making his strength a strength again by taking Fabinho and Henderson out and put them in midfield and just start winning football matches.
