Top manager and Germany international Jurgen Klopp has reportedly turned down a deal to become the new US Men’s National Team head coach.

Recall that Klopp only left his managerial role at Liverpool at the end of last season after he had previously announced his exit during the campaign.

With Gregg Berhalter removed as the head coach of the American team following their failure at the ongoing 2024 Copa America, they have searching for a new coach to take over the team.

The reports revealed that the US Soccer reached out to the former Liverpool boss about the possibility of becoming head coach.

However, a report via the Athletic, Klopp turned down the approach from the federation as he stated that he would like to take a break from the sport after walking away from Liverpool earlier this year.

Following the transfer blow, the US will have to turn their focus on other coaches.

Meanwhile, Argentina who made it to the final of the Copa America after defeating Canada, will now face Colombia who defeated Uruguay on Sunday.

Argentina led by Leo Messi are considered favourite to win but will face challenges defeating Colombia when they meet this weekend.
