The ongoing World Cup in Qatar continues to get more interest in different wins and unexpected defeats.

The latest was between Brazil and Croatia as the former were kicked out from the tournament after they lost in a penalty shoot-out on Friday.

Brazil came in the first quarter-final tie as hot favourites, having seen off South Korea 4-1 in the previous round.

But their game against Croatia was a different ball entirely as they struggled to break through their defence and when they did, Dominik Livakovic produced excellent saves to keep his team in it.

PSG forward Neymar eventually broke the deadlock in the first half of extra time, as he finished off another fine team move.

However, there was late drama after Bruno Petkovic’s deflected effort made the game end in a 1-1 draw.

The game went to penalties, where Rodrygo and Marquinhos missed from 12 yards.
