World Cup: Former Chelsea star consoles Kane
Former Chelsea star, Didier Drogba, has sent a message to England captain Harry Kane after his penalty miss in his side’s 2022 FIFA World Cup quarterfinal 2-1 defeat to France over the weekend.
Recall that Kane missed a penalty and also scored another spot-kick in a game that saw France kick out England in the last-8 in Qatar.
France scored two goals thanks to Aurelien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud.
However, Drogba in his message encouraged Kane that his missed penalty would make him stronger going forward.
Drogba also described Kane, who is currently signed to Tottenham as a true leader and captain.
Drogba wrote on Twitter on Sunday, “It will hurt @HKane but you are a true Captain and leader. I really like the way you played during this World Cup, an example for strikers to watch: score, assist, hold and lead !!” It will take time to get over it but this will make you stronger!!!”
