Former Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshere has sent a warning to the England squad at the ongoing world in Qatar about his former teammate Olivier Giroud.

Giroud, who has been impressive for France at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar made history at this year’s World Cup as he became France’s all-time record scorer after their 3-0 win over Poland in the round of 16 on Sunday.

The former Chelsea now AC Milan attacker has scored three goals for France in four games so far in Qatar.

Speaking ahead of England’s World Cup quarter-final tie with France on Saturday, Wilshere told The Sun, “What about my old Arsenal team-mate Olivier Giroud?

“If anything, the AC Milan striker has gotten better since moving to Italy and leaving the Premier League behind, where he struggled to get a starting place.

“He is in his mid-30s, but he is in the shape of his life and his finish for the first goal against Poland was real class.”
