Why this Chelsea target could be a perfect replacement for Salah at Liverpool

Former Liverpool star Steve Nicol is rooting for the Reds to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli as he believes he would be a fantastic replacement for Mohamed Salah.

There are speculations that Salah could be a target for Saudi Pro League clubs in the summer transfer window, as the Reds consider his future.

Recall that current Saudi champions Al-Ittihad submitted a reported £150 million offer for the Egypt international last September.

This season, another Saudi club, Al Hilal are reportedly interested in the former Chelsea player.

Nicol has advised his former club to bring in Osimhen as Salah’s replacement.

“The fact that Salah will leave, regardless of whether it will be this year or next, Osimhen? I think he would be fantastic for Liverpool,” Nicol told ESPN.

Meanwhile, Osimhen is expected to leave the Serie A champions, Napoli this summer.

The Nigerian forward has already been linked to the Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal interested him.

French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germains are also interested him especially as they will be biding goodbye to Kylian Mbappe in the summer.

Osimhen’s transfer clause will, however, make, most of the interested clubs drop interest in signing him.
