Former Chelsea star Pat Nevin in a recent statement has stressed that manager Graham Potter would not want the club’s forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave this January transfer window.

This comes as Aubameyang, who joined Chelsea last summer has not been able to impress at Stamford Bridge since joining them from the Spanish club Barcelona.

Owing to his poor form, the former Arsenal star has been linked with a move away from Chelsea this January, with reports linking him with a possible return to Stamford Bridge.

When asked about the possibility of the Gabonese forward leaving the Blues this January, Nevin told Metro UK: “He’s not exactly what Graham Potter wants or needs. That is not his style. Short-term, I thought he might get ten goals.

“I’m not massively surprised it has not worked out, but could you use him for the rest of the season as an impact player? Possibly, if his attitude’s perfect.”
