Why Mount may not make not immediately make it to Man Utd squad

Former Manchester United star, Louis Saha has stressed that the Red Devils’ latest summer signing, Mason Mount might immediately make it into manager Erik ten Hag’s first team.

According to Saha, Mount, who has already been handed Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic No. 7 shirt, will have to fight for a spot in the Man United squad following his £60m transfer from Chelsea.

Recall that the English midfielder recently penned a five-year contract with Man United after ending his 18-year association with Chelsea.

“Mason Mount is not necessarily going to go straight into the Manchester United team,” Saha told Paddy Power.

“It is such a long season coming up and he will have to fight for his place.

“It is a big transfer fee for someone who only got a year left of his contract, but he is going to bring diversity to this team because he is a very smart, active and busy player.

“He will create more one-on-ones for the strikers, and it is a brilliant signing.”
