Why Man Utd shouldn’t sign Cucurella

Former Premier League star, Darren Bent, has sent a message to Manchester United against signing Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella this summer.

According to Bent, Cucurella has not impressed well enough with the Blues since he arrived from Brighton.

The former striker advised the Red Devils to instead sign Rico Henry from Brentford instead of Cucurella.

Man Utd are keen on signing a new left back following injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

“He [Cucurella] hasn’t looked at the level at Chelsea,” he said on talks

Bent stressed that the 25-year-old struggled in his first season at Chelsea.

He said the Spaniard was comfortable playing as a left-sided centre-back in a back three but struggles playing as a left back or left wing-back.

Man Utd have a few hours to decide as the summer transfer window would close on Friday, September 1.
