Why Havertz’s performance at Arsenal is not convincing

Former France international, William Gallas, in a statement has said he is not yet fully convinced by Mikel Arteta’s plan for Kai Havertz, despite his impressive run of form.

Havertz moved to Stamford Bridge from Chelsea in the summer in a £65million deal.

The German at first struggled to justify the big transfer fee and win over his new fans

However, Havertz appears to have established himself as a key member of the Gunners’ squad.

Despite now having scored seven goals in all competitions, Gallas has not been bought over.

He told Lord Ping: “Even though he’s scored in his last few games, I’m not convinced he’ll have a great season. What is a great season for him?

“Last season, he scored 7 goals for Chelsea. This season, I don’t know how many goals he’ll score but for the price they bought him, he has to score 15 goals this season, but I don’t think he’ll score that many goals this season.”
