Why Chelsea could end up in relegation

Former Chelsea star Jason Cundy has suggested the club could face relegation if their performance under manager Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t improve.

So far this season, the Blues have won just one out of six Premier League matches.

They are currently seated in the 14th position on the Premier League table with five points.

The Blues lost 1-0 against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

However, Cundy believes everyone at Chelsea is to blame for the club’s woes so far this season.

“Seven wins in all competitions this calendar year and that includes one at home against Luton, one at home against Wimbledon and a win away at Bournemouth,” Cundy told talkSPORT.

“So I mention the ‘R’ word, I’m not arrogant enough to think Chelsea are too good to go down. But if that carries on, Chelsea will end up in a relegation [battle].

“Everyone has, from right to the very top, the managers who have been brought in, the staff, the players, everyone has got to take a little bit of this blame and they’ve got to fix it.”
