With only one game played in the Premier League, Arsenal are already being perceived as a threat to Manchester City.

This comes from former Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves, in a statement said Arsenal will be “a problem” in the Premier League this campaign.

The Gunners started their new season with a 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in Saturday’s early kick-off at Emirate Stadium.

They were able to win all three points thanks to goals from Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka, who scored in the first half before Taiwo Awoniyi netted a late consolation for the visitors at the Emirates.

Hargreaves, speaking to Premier League Productions, praised Mikel Arteta’s “brilliant” team.

“It was a brilliant first-half performance. We had to wait a little bit with the delay, but Arsenal were fabulous in that first 45 minutes.

“All the new signings impressed and Gabriel Martinelli stole the show for me. Arsenal look like they’re going to be a problem this season,” he said.
