Why Arsenal should sign this Chelsea star

Former Liverpool star Luis Garcia has sent a message to Arsenal in their bid to sign Chelsea forward, Kai Havertz this summer transfer window.

It is no longer news that Havertz has been linked with a move to the North London club this summer.

The German striker wants to leave Stamford Bridge, especially as the Blues plan to trim their bloated squad.

In a statement via ESPN, Garcia supported Arsenal’s bid to sign Havertz, as he stressed that the 24-year-old is not afraid to receive the ball.

“If we see what happened to Arsenal in the last month or month and a half… the lack of players who can have the personality to hold the ball, to have it and to ask for it affected their performances,” Garcia said.

“They have shown that they are naive during the last part of the season. I think [Mikel] Arteta realises that. Kai Havertz is one of those footballers.”

He added, “Havertz isn’t afraid to receive the ball. He isn’t afraid to hold it, to go inside the box or to create something. When he plays in the top matches… he is always asking for the ball, keeping the ball and helping the team go forward.”
