Former Chelsea and now AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho had reportedly shown interest to sign embattled football star Mason Greenwood from Man Utd this summer.

However, Italian football journalist, Filippo Biafora, in a recent statement has dismissed the report as he revealed that the Manchester United forward will not be joining the Italian Serie A club this summer.

According to the Rome-based Italian journalist, the Italian giants had actively denied having any interest in the 22-year-old.

Biafora confirmed that the England international will not be moving to Italy and stressed that it remains the case after Man United’s statement about him yesterday.

“Greenwood is perhaps the only player the club has officially denied in recent weeks – and it still holds true today,” he wrote on Twitter, in response to a fan asking about the rumour.

Greenwood may have to consider other clubs outside Europe if he intends to continue his football career.
