United legend heap praise on Man City forward over his goalscoring form

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has showered praises on Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling for becoming more efficient in front of goal in recent seasons.

Raheem Sterling had a mixed season under Pep Guardiola at City last season, with the English forward losing his place in some parts.

Despite these ups and downs, Sterling has been able to turn things around with his performance for England at the ongoing Euro 2020 tournament.

According to Neville, Sterling is someone who at Manchester City in these last three or four years has torn it up.

His goals, assists have got to a level of authentic high quality for England and Manchester City, and it’s a level where when he was at Liverpool, you might have viewed him as inconsistent and erratic in the final moment.

But with the work that Pep Guardiola has done with him at Manchester City, there is no doubt now that he has become someone who plays on the left-hand side.

Sterling has been produced under the guidance of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, scoring 103 goals and 77 assists in 245 games under the Spaniard.
