Alejandro Garnacho’s transfer to Chelsea may not happen this summer transfer window as Manchester United are said to have turned down the Blues swap deal.

The Blues were reported to have included Tyrique George in the swap deal which would have seen Garnacho head to Stamford Bridge.

It is no news that Garnacho has been linked with an exit away from Old Trafford since manager Ruben Amorim dropped him to the bench for the Europa League final in May.

However, during the summer standoff, it was reported that the Argentina star only wants to join Chelsea, the club he was linked with last January.

Aside from Chelsea, Aston Villa, Al Nassr and Bayern Munich have all shown interest in Garnacho.

While Chelsea are also keen on signing the Argentine, his valuation of and the sum United are expecting are now what the Blues are willing to meet.

According to the reports, the Red Devils have fixed a price tag of £50 million ($67.2 million) for Garnacho who has three years left on his contract.

The Blues are said to be negotiated for a deal closer to the £30 million mark.

In an attempt to bridge this gap, Chelsea proposed several swap deals, one which including 19-year-old forward George in the offer to Man Utd.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed the offer has been rejected by Man Utd.
