UCL: Chelsea vs Real Madrid – possible prediction

Former football star Michael Owen has predicted the outcome of the match between Chelsea and Real Madrid in the UCL tonight.

The Blues will return to action at Stamford Bridge, and Owen has backed them to make it to the semi-finals with another victory against the LaLiga giants.

This comes as the Blues, led by Thomas Tuchel, defeated Real Madrid with a 3-1 win on aggregate in the semi-finals last season as they went on to win the UCL trophy.

The only change at Real Madrid this season is that they have a new manager Carlo Ancelotti, who has led them 12 points clear at the top of LaLiga, as they also stunned PSG in the last round of the Champions League.

Despite this, Owen expects Chelsea to beat Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

“This is a really interesting tie, particularly with these two having met in last year’s semi-final,” Owen told BetVictor via Metro.

“Chelsea won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in that tie, but it could have been four or five. Real looked slow and leggy in that tie, and I don’t see huge improvement in them.

“[Karim] Benzema and Vinicius [Junior] have been brilliant this season and they will be a threat. I’m going for a Chelsea win though, 3-1.”
