Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has taken a decision on joining Aston Villa as their new manager

Recall that Tuchel was sacked at Chelsea back in September and has since been out of work.

It appears Tuchel is not in a hurry to return to coaching duty, as the reports claim the German is not interested in replacing Steven Gerrard at Villa Park.

The west Midlands side have lost six of their 11 matches of the current season, sitting just three points above bottom place.

Their recent humiliating defeat to Fulham in a 3-0 scoreline led to their manager Steven Gerrard.

And names like Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino and ex-Arsenal coach, Unai Emery have been mentioned as Aston Villa search for a new manager.

A report via The Telegraph reveals Tuchel will turn down any approach from Aston Villa and is not interested in taking the job.

Even if the former Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain manager was to be offered an enormous salary and big transfer kitty, any attempt from Villa to speak with him ‘would be met with a polite no’, the newspaper reports.
