Thomas Tuchel finally secured his first win as a Chelsea manager with an emphatic 2 nil victory over Burnley at Stamford Bridge but the team should have scored more due to how they controlled the match.

Chelsea were the better team all through but had to settle for a late first half goal from club captain Cesar Azpilicueta and a late goal in the second half from Marcos Alonso.

However, the blues failed to show their class in front of goal as they should have won the match convincingly.

Speaking after the match, Tuchel revealed why his forward players failed to hit the back of the net despite their impressive performance.

The German tactician while speaking to talkSPORT stated he can say this very easy as he never scored in his life as a semi-professional or a professional, so this is the hardest thing to do.

According to Thomas Tuchel, the pitch does not help honestly, it’s not in top condition so it is hard.

However, he noted that he has to admit that they lacked precision in the last ball and they lacked precision in the deliveries and in the finishing.

Tuchel added that it’s okay as they will work on it and hopefully improve on their form in front of the goal.

Chelsea’s win over Burnley have seen them rise on top of the table as they are now seventh on the log.
