Former Premier League star, Micah Richards, has sent a message to incoming England coach Thomas Tuchel.

Richards warned the former Chelsea manager about an issue regarding Three Lions’ stars Jude Bellingham and Cole Palmer.

Recall that England has appointed Tuchel as new head coach of the national team, after Gareth Southgate’s resignation following Euro 2024.

The Three Lions has been led by interim head coach Lee Carsley, who publicly shared his uncertainty about taking on the role permanently.

Tuchel will take over of the England squad from New Year’s Day, 2025.

Ahead of the German’s arrival, former England defender Richards has given him a heads-up.

Richards in a statement via The Rest is Football podcast said Tuchel has some real big issues to sort in terms of personnel.

Going by their performance, Richards stated that Palmer and Bellingham have to play.

Harry Kane as well as Watkins and Saka also have to play, which will make the team selection difficult for Tuchel.

“What we didn’t give Southgate enough credit for at the time was having all these wonderful players and trying to fit them in because whoever he played someone is going to moan, why are they not playing?” Richards said.

He added that Tuchel has to go with the best balance for the team rather than trying to get individual brilliance.
