Chelsea have every reason to be worried as the latest report via the Sun revealed that Manchester United and Liverpool have eyes on Mason Mount, who they want to sign this summer.

The report revealed Jurgen Klopp and Man Utd new manager Erik ten Hag are planning to swoop on the England midfielder this season and are monitoring his contract situation at Stamford Bridge.

Mount has gone on to become one of the key players at Stamford Bridge over the last few years.

In total, he has played 160 games for the west London club and has won the men’s team Player of the Year for two straight seasons.

Despite his top form, Mount remains one of the lowest-paid players at Stamford Bridge, but there are hopes new owner Todd Boehly would make a change to this.

The Sun report that Manchester United and Liverpool are among the clubs monitoring if the English midfielder will get an improved contract at Chelsea.

Ten Hag, according to the report, is a fan of the midfielder since the England star enjoyed a successful loan spell at Dutch club Vitesse in 2017-18.

The Red Devils have already been in contact with the player’s representatives and that they would be interested in discussing a deal.

Spanish side Barcelona are also in the race for Mount.
