Transfer boost for Arsenal as Brentford goalkeeper favours move to Emirates Stadium

Arsenal have been handed a transfer boost this summer after Brentford goalkeeper David Raya expressed his desire to move to Emirates Stadium over German club Bayern Munich.

This was made public by popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a tweet via his official Twitter handle on Sunday afternoon.

While Arsenal have splashed £200 million on signing Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz this summer, many would think they would focus on selling some of their players to balance up their books.

But the recent report revealed the Gunners have lined up interest for Raya.

The Athletic had first reported that the Gunners are considering making a move for the 27-year-old goalkeeper.

Raya is in the final year of his contract at Brentford and he is looking forward to leaving this summer.

Owing to his impressive form for Brentford, he has also attracted interest from Bundesliga side Bayern Munich.

However, Romano reported that Raya prefers switching over to the Emirates Stadium.
