Chelsea offer acknowledged for Trabzonspor shot stopper

Chelsea have supposedly had a £29.5m offer for Ugurcan Cakir acknowledged by Trabzonspor.

The shot stopper has been firmly connected with a move to the Premier League recently, with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur both idea to be in the running for his signature.

Report asserted a month ago that Liverpool had made a £22.5m offer for the Turkey international, who has many appearances at club level this season.

Notwithstanding, Chelsea have now had a proposal of barely short of £30m acknowledged by the Super Lig outfit, with the Blues apparently now in pole position to sign the goalkeeper this summer.

Ugurcan Cakir has just saved four clean sheets in 39 outings for Trabzonspor this season, conceding multiple times all the while, with 11 goals for seven Europa League appearances.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard’s side are accepted to be in the market for a replacement for number one goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga as the Spaniard continue to battle for form between the sticks.
