Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly emerged as surprise contenders in the race to sign Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, setting up the possibility of a major transfer battle with Arsenal this summer.

Rogers is currently representing England at the World Cup, but speculation surrounding his club future continues to intensify. After an outstanding campaign with Aston Villa, the 23-year-old has attracted interest from several of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

Arsenal remain the strongest contenders for his signature, with Mikel Arteta identifying Rogers as a priority attacking target. The Gunners believe the England international’s versatility makes him an ideal addition, with the ability to operate on the left wing, as a No.10 or in other advanced attacking roles.

Reports suggest Arsenal are preparing an opening offer worth between £80 million and £90 million, with the total package potentially rising beyond £100 million if negotiations progress.

Aston Villa, however, are believed to value Rogers closer to £130 million, although there is speculation that the asking price could fall if the player pushes for a move.

Tottenham have now reportedly entered the race, creating fresh competition for Arsenal. While Spurs’ level of interest remains unclear, their involvement could complicate negotiations and increase the pressure on Arsenal to move quickly.

Chelsea and Manchester City have also monitored Rogers in recent months, highlighting the intense demand for one of England’s brightest attacking talents.
